Pennsylvania has a top city for cheating
When you think of Pennsylvania and the great people of the Keystone State, the word "cheaters" probably doesn't come to mind. But, according to a new study, one Pennsylvania city is actually one of the highest in the country for having residents who cheat on their significant others.
MyDatingAdviser.com has put together a study looking at various categories to determine the rankings of the most unfaithful cities in America. For the study, they compared 200 of the largest cities in the U.S. across a handful of key categories, including relationship and life satisfaction; cheating intent; and affair activities. Other factors that went into the ratings included marriage, divorce and separation rates; the number of cafes and bars in the area; and how often people search for affair hookup websites on Google.
"While most would assume that bigger cities probably produce more cheaters per capita, this data shows us what we were already aware of; cheaters are everywhere, and infidelity can happen anywhere – in large cities and small ones," the study states. "It's not singular to Florida, nor is it removed from quieter states like Pennsylvania or Arizona. And for what it's worth, cheating comes in many forms and may look different for one person than it would for another. It can happen in marriages, emotionally, and just because of sudden circumstances…that have little to do with that person's current relationship."
If you're looking for love, the following cities are apparently not the best places to do so. That said, we know these studies can be off, so don't get too skeptical if you meeting someone in these towns. I can see it now. "Hey, I really like you, but you live in one of the top cities for cheaters in America, so you're probably a cheater, and I don't want anything to do with you." Yeah. That's won't go over well. 10. Washington, District Of Columbia
We all know that politicians can be notorious for cheating. For those who are, they're often found out, and it becomes fodder for the next campaign cycle. So, it's really not surprise that Washington, the District of Columbia, is on this list.
9. Atlanta, Georgia
Atlanta is a major mecca, and perhaps that's why it's one of the top 10 cities in America for cheating. Are they all coming in and out of the Delta Airlines terminal?
8. Knoxville, Tennessee
Knoxville is a random one on this list, because it's not a huge city. But, it's apparently big enough to have a good amount of cheating activity.
7. New York, New York
With so many people in New York City and so many things to do, it makes sense that it would rate high for cheaters. Still not cool.
6. Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
Here we are. Philadelphia is the Pennsylvania city that has residents most likely to cheat. Hopefully that doesn't include any of you reading this article. If so, know we're onto you.
5. Nashville, Tennessee
This isn't a big surprise, since we hear about cheating in country songs. So, of course Nashville would be on this list. At least is makes for good songwriting, right?
4. St. Louis, Missouri
The divorce rate in St. Louis is 9%, which is apparently pretty high. The city reportedly has a good amount of cheaters.
3. Houston, Texas
As you'll soon find out, Houston isn't the only Texas city known for cheating. We're just getting started.
2. Forth Worth, Texas
Texas is on this list a few times. Who knew the Lonestar State was so big on cheating?
1. Dallas, Texas
Dallas has lots of cool things to do, as you can see below. But, it's apparently huge for cheating. Why? We don't know. But beware.
