Haunted hotels in Pennsylvania

Welcome to the spooky season. Of course, there are plenty of great haunted houses and haunts in Pennsylvania, but what about some actual haunted hotels? We have those, too.

I did some digging and found a great article via OnlyinYourState.com that names eight haunted hotels in the Keystone State. I knew we had a few, but having eight haunted hotels makes Pennsylvania the perfect state to celebrate Halloween. "If you are partial to ghost stories, haunted tales, and spooky happenings, a little paranormal activity might be just what your overnight getaway needs," OnlyinYourState.com says in the article. "And, if you’re tired of the generic hotel experience, you’re in luck. Look no further. Below you’ll find a list of some of the most haunted hotels in Pennsylvania. Even if you don’t encounter a ghost — and you very well might — you'll leave with some fascinating tales to tell."

I'm actually pretty easily scared, so a real-life ghost story would most likely scare me off from an overnight stay, unless I was with something who could talk sense into me. Either way, I really think all of these hotels look interesting- almost historical. Read on for eight haunted hotels in Pennsylvania via OnlyinYourState.com and find more information on all of the hotels here. It's worth noting that most of these hotels don't claim to be haunted, so there are no guarantees that you'll run into Casper during your stay. But, it's still a fun idea, if you're into ghost hunting or that sort of activity.

Aaron Burr House, New Hope

This hotel looks quaint and beautiful, despite the rumors that it's haunted!

Wedgwood Inn Bed & Breakfast, New Hope

That only thing better than a haunted hotel is a haunted bed and breakfast, right?

Historic Hotel Bethlehem

What's cool about this spot is that there's a lot of rich history behind the Historic Hotel Bethlehem.

Cashtown Inn, Orrtanna

When I think of a haunted inn, for some reason, the Alfred Hitchcock movie "Psycho" comes to mind. Great movie.

The Gettysburg Hotel

There are many tales of Gettysburg itself being haunted, so it's no surprise that The Gettysburg Hotel is possibly haunted, too.

The Inn at Jim Thorpe

This is a lovely inn, if you ignore the ghosts. Just kidding- we don't really know if there are ghosts here.

The Railroad House Inn, Marietta

Of course a railroad hotel could be haunted, because there's nothing creepier than a haunted railroad. It's very vintage. They also have a great restaurant.

Omni Bedford Springs Resort, Bedford

The Omni Bedford Springs Resort is a very popular destination, and the bonus is that around Halloween, you can tell yourself that you're visiting a truly haunted spot.
