We’re only four months into 2023, but one website already has the tally for what will likely be the most popular baby names of the year in Pennsylvania.

Names.org has conducted research based on current trends to see which baby names will be the most popular this year. Some of them are familiar, while others are no. When it comes to baby names, Pennsylvania can be pretty traditional.

“Pennsylvania has been at the forefront of American history,” Names.org states. “From being one of the 13 original colonies to being the home of Valley Forge, the Liberty Bell, Independence Hall, and the battle of Gettysburg, Pennsylvanians have been important to American history. Parents in Pennsylvania often look to classic names for their children. You’ll find Elwood and Dominic on lists of boy names and Maryann and Rosemarie on lists of girl names.”

Personally, I prefer simple names: Mark, John, Mary. Maybe that sounds boring, but I like it. Most of the names on this list I do like. Sometimes, I feel like people are just trying too hard when they come up with really wild names, but to each their own! Read on for what are projected to be the most popular baby names in the state for 2023. Find the full list here.
