Ozzy Osbourne has received the cover treatment by one of country music’s biggest stars: Carrie Underwood.

Underwood covered Osbourne’s ballad “Mama, I’m Coming Home” from his 1991 studio album No More Tears as part of her new Apple Music Session EP. Underwood said of the track, “It’s one of my all-time favorite songs. I’ve always thought it felt a lot like a country song, and I’ve wanted to cover it for a long time.” A preview clip of her cover/performance can be viewed below.

This cover is Underwood’s latest dip into the rock world. Earlier this month, she made a surprise appearance with Guns N' Roses during the band’s two-night stand at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in Tottenham, England. Rose would join Underwood during her set at Stagecoach in May.

Naturally, fans of the Prince of Darkness had plenty of opinions about Underwood’s cover ranging from love to hate. Below are some notable reactions.
