Miss Philadelphia 2023 is a STEM Scientist

There's a new Miss Philadelphia. Last weekend, Jaqueline Means was officially crowned Miss Philadelphia 2023 at Lincoln University.

Means is a University of Delaware student. She's a proud STEM major in medical diagnostics and neuroscience. In fact, she's so proud of being a STEM major that her Instagram handle is @STEMQueenDE. As a fellow STEM graduate, I think it's awesome that she's the new Miss Philadelphia.

Here's her official announcement! She says, "I am beyond ecstatic to be your new Miss Philadelphia 👑! It’s truly an honor to be the 102nd woman to hold this title. I have so many people to thank and so much to say, but for now, I’ll just say I am incredibly grateful for this amazing opportunity and cannot wait to continue to positively impact my city. Miss Pennsylvania, here I come!"
