Valentine’s Day is all about chocolate right? So why not indulge in some chocolate cocktails.

SelvaRey’s chocolate rum is an aged rum infused with natural chocolate. It is just right for sipping on the rocks or using it to make chocolate cocktails. What also pairs well with chocolate is whiskey. . Triple Dog Irish Whiskey is newly available in the United States, and features crème brûlée front-end notes and defined citrus finish. Both these spirits are used to craft the three cocktails below. If you’re looking for a fun cocktail to make for that special someone this Valentine’s Day may I suggest one of these:

 

  • Chocolate Rum Negroni

    Ingredients:
    1.5 oz SelvaRey Chocolate Rum
    1 oz Sweet Vermouth
    1 oz Campari
    2 dash Orange Bitters

    Glassware: Rocks or Double Old Fashioned
    Garnish: Orange Wedge
    Method: Add all ingredients into mixing glass with ice. Stir until well-chilled; strain into ice-filled Rocks or Double Old Fashioned glass.

  • Chocolate Martini Royale

    Ingredients:
    2 oz SelvaRey Chocolate Rum
    1 oz Creme de Cacao
    1 Heaping Scoop Chocolate Ice Cream

    Glassware: Coupe
    Method: Add all ingredients into a shaker. Add ice, shake until chilled and strain into a Coupe glass.

  • Irish Love Affair

    Ingredients:
    2 oz. Triple Dog Irish Whiskey
    ½ oz. Monin® Swiss Chocolate Syrup

    Glassware: Coupe Glass
    Garnish: Cherry, Orange peel
    Method: Combine ingredients in shaker in the order listed, except sparkling beverage. Cap and shake vigorously. Strain into chilled serving glass. Garnish.
