Oley Fair Tractor Pull

Every country fair needs a tractor pull. Little kids competed, and this fella gave it a try too.
Piglets!!!

This was so cute. Ten piglets in all, hanging with their Mama.
Baby Piglet!

This was definitely the most popular stall. I could have watched the piglets all day.
Cows Up Close

A great way to introduce little ones to all the animals in their books and songs all at once.
Friendly Goats

The animals were there to meet and pet, and a handwashing station right outside for afterward.
Cow Pigs

Spotty pigs among the many animals featured and judged in the livestock part of the fair. A bunch of these big pigs had names like Twizzler and Kitkat and Reese.
Fancy Goats

Fly goats in bright colors.
Goats Incognito

Did anyone see a goat? Not me.
Giant Pumpkins at the Oley Fair

These things were massive. None over 1,000 pounds this year, but still quite a lot of pumpkin pie.
Giant Pumpkin Winner at This Year's Oley Fair

Imagine the amount of pumpkin bread and muffins and pie and anything else you could possibly make.
Pumpkin Decorating Contest

Most creative pumpkin patch you'll see. Some really cute ideas from kids of all ages.
Clever Cater-Pumpkin!

Loved this one, and looks pretty easy to recreate.
Gru and the Minions

This was a very creative take on the pumpkin decorating contest.
Alice in Pumpkinland

Another great pumpkin decorating contest entry.
Giant Watermelon

How about this one? About 15 of the store bought watermelons combined.
Veggies to Pretty to Eat

The arrangements were gorgeous and so delicious looking.
Garden Goals

It certainly inspires you to grow an even bigger garden next year. So pretty.
Colorful Veggies

Every kind of vegetable with the best looking tomatoes and anything you could want to eat.
Actual Bees

There was honey in the judging section, and the source too!
Sticky Situation

Things got a little jammed up on these shelves. So many canning and preserving entries.
Apples Galore

Every kind of apple. Fall is officially here.
Getting Corny

No idea how they judge ears of corn and bales of hay, but they did!
Floral Arrangements

I haven't seen arrangements like these since this year's Philadelphia Flower Show. Stunning.
Individual Flower Entries

This was a great way to walk through and see which flowers you want to try to grow in your garden. Sometimes the seed packets don't do it justice, and here they all are with their names listed. Really pretty.
Quilt Best In Show

There are so many tiny beautiful details in this. What an amazing job. The photo does not do this quilt justice.
Bowling Pin Decorating Contest

This was a fun one. Lots of creative ideas. My favorites were the turtle and the dragon.
Dragon Bowling Pin

This one was really cool. What a fun project!
Trashy Art

A contest using recycled junk only. How cool is this Eagle!?
Stunning Needlework

I can't even imagine the amount of time this took. Well worth it though. First place!
Knitted Critters

There was a lot of beautiful needlework entered this year. I loved this baby blanket and the detail in all of these animals.
Encanto Mirabel Dress

This Mirabel dress from Disney's Encanto was gorgeous and a very popular entry with the kiddos. It can be reused for Halloween too!
Artwork and Photography

There were a bunch of different photography and artwork categories. It really showed how much talent is in our area. Very fun to look through them all.
Lego Contests

I think a requirement was coming up with a creation that wasn't straight from a kit.
Rock Painting

Kids could decorate pumpkins, bowling pins, and even rocks.
Oley Fair Rides

Some rides more rickety looking than others. This one seemed safe enough! (All others working fine, just ya know, not for me.)
Practice Milking a Cow

There was a tent just for little kids to practice farm skills. Trudy got a little toy for giving this a try.
Farmer for a Day

If you completed tasks like digging for potatoes and gathering eggs and apples, you get a red ribbon declaring you "Farmer for a Day". Adorable.
Fair Entertainment

Fair entertainment in both meanings of the word 'fair'. Just kidding. This was great, and performed the Eagles Fight Song AND Take Me Out to the Ball Game for the Phillies. A delight.
The Oley Fair is Happening Now!

With everything from livestock to honeybees to tractor pulls and rides. Don't miss it.
Fair Food

So many food options at the fair. I ate a bunch, but somehow didn't take any photos. Too busy chowing down. As you can see, lots of options.
