Looking for an interesting afternoon with your family? Mister Ed’s Elephant Museum and Candy Emporium is it. A must see spot in Pennsylvania for all ages.

We were on our way to the Kecksburg, PA UFO Festival last weekend (another PA gem). To break up the drive, we decided to stop at an elephant museum and candy emporium in Orrtanna, PA (we'd never heard of it either). As a total candy aficionado, and really, who doesn’t love elephants? It had to be good. Boy, was it. We’d seen the photos online, but this was even better than we hoped.

The place has soooo many elephants. If you’re a fan of these giant gentle creatures, you’re going to really enjoy walking through Mister Ed’s collection. It has to be one of the biggest in the world. Statues and toys and signs and memorabilia. Not only are there elephants in the museum section, but just about every possible purchasable elephant too. Ornaments (ornaphants), postcards, magnets, toys, notebooks, and so much more.

Oh, and don’t even get me started on the candy. They have it covered. Fudge, popcorn, peanuts, and all things sugar. We loved the Pez collection, and there's very kind of chocolate bar. There's even a pickle flavored section and a bunch of odd flavored soda bottles. Give a kid $20 in here and you just bought yourself a friend for life. We stocked up on treats for the whole weekend.

Don’t forget to leave some time to read about the collection’s history, wander the garden outside, take some photos, and check out the smaller Tea Pot Museum outside too. So many fun surprises. The museum and store are free to enter. Just pay for what you want to take home, or consume right on the spot. Check HERE for a link with more info, and scroll through photos from our visit below!
