Want a unique option for a getaway? How about something fit for an ogre? Be sure to check out the Shrek Swamp on Airbnb, now listing for October.

Remember a few months ago, when Airbnb listed a stay in the Barbie Dreamhouse? I guess you could call their latest listing a bit of a downgrade. A literal, actual swamp. To each their own though, right? It was home to Shrek and Donkey from the Dreamworks Animation film, and it can be home to you too (and 2 others), for 2 nights only.

When?

October 27-29th, 2023. An exclusive two-night swamp stay* for up to three guests.

Where?

Location location location. It may be a swamp, but it's located in the scenic hills of the Scottish Highlands. A secluded location fit for an ogre, or just a big Shrek fan. Don't forget to read the fine print though. Guests are responsible for getting themselves to and from Scotland. (Fun idea and all, but this trip just got a bit pricey.)

According to Donkey, "“You know what I like about it? Everything. The overgrown landscaping, the modest interiors, the nice boulders, all of it. I can’t wait for guests to experience this muddy slice of paradise for themselves.”

More About the Stay:

Shrek’s Swamp brings a whole new meaning to the term ‘treehouse.’ With its clever use of forestry, charmingly rustic interiors and iconic outhouse, the swamp is certain to offer an experience unlike any other.

Pretty affordable too. For $0 a night, ‘brogres’ will be able to request to book an exclusive two-night swamp stay* for up to three guests October 27-29th.

Relax in the ambiance of “earwax candlelight”
Enjoy a parfait (everybody likes a parfait!)
Swap stories around the fire until late in the night
Enjoy a stack of freshly made waffles in the morning

Onion and ogre enthusiasts can request to book the Shrek Swamp on Airbnb beginning October 13 at 1 p.m. EST at airbnb.com/shrek.

Guests are responsible for their own travel to and from Scotland.
