WRC 5th Annual Leadership Luncheon

The theme of this year’s luncheon, “Sustaining Our Spirits,” celebrates the strength and resilience it takes for women in need to empower themselves and make informed decisions to improve their lives. Three distinguished women will be honored at the luncheon for making a difference in the lives of other women. Lynn Yeakel, director of Drexel University College of Medicine’s Institute for Women’s Health and Leadership™ and Joan Walsh, co-founder of Kashbox Coaching and author of three books will receive WRC leadership awards. Neen James, former WRC board member and world-renowned author and international productivity expert, will receive the Phebe Novakovic award, named after a long-time board member, supporter and volunteer leader at Women’s Resource Center.

Marilyn Russell, BEN FM morning show co-host and host of ‘Woman of the Week,’ will emcee the event. Featured speaker, Darlyne Bailey, Ph.D., LISW, Dean of Social Work at Bryn Mawr College and co-author of the book Sustaining Our Spirits: Women Leaders Thriving for Today & Tomorrow, will inspire attendees with her touching, amusing and insightful anecdotes based on her study of women’s leadership.

There will be vendors with their wares on display as well as a beautiful variety of themed baskets to be raffled. More than 400 business leaders and decision-makers from the Delaware Valley will attend, many of whom are female business owners, entrepreneurs and executives
