BREAKING NEWS: HURTING TEENS RECEIVE HOPE AND HELP

PHILADELPHIA, PA…Quest Movement presents Life Hurts, Love Heals, a 4-Day event for teens ages 14-18, featuring peer-to-peer group sessions led by caring, credentialed facilitators. Topics include loss and grief, loneliness, value and worth, expressing feelings, processing pain, learning to forgive, and more. Breakfast and lunch will be served. This event takes place Wednesday – Saturday, July 21-24, 2021, at New Journey Christian Center located at 5725 Ardleigh St., Philadelphia, PA 19138. Transportation is available for South Jersey teens from the Deptford area and the Camden Transportation Center. Participants who attend all days are eligible to win a $100 gift card.

This program will address the unprecedented challenges facing today’s youth as a result of the pandemic and other societal factors. Studies show that these pressures have led to sharp declines in the mental and emotional well-being of teens, resulting in loneliness, isolation, anxiety, and depression. Far too many young people lack the necessary skills to cope with these risk factors effectively. These unattended wounds of the heart can result in problematic behavior, violence, poor health, difficulty in school, and many other symptoms. Teens will gain skills to help them process pain and heal from the hurt that life can bring.

Quest Movement is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization with a mission to engage, equip, and empower under-served and disenfranchised communities to facilitate healing from traumatic experiences.
