21st Annual Ukrainian Folk Festival

The 21st Annual Ukrainian Folk Festival will take place on Sunday August 26, 2012, in celebration of Ukraine’s Independence. The festival will be held at the Ukrainian American Sport Center- Tryzub in Horsham PA. Join us for a dazzling festival of Ukrainian culture with an array of sounds, colors, and flavors, as the day will include folk music, art, food and crafts. Learn the symbolism of the pysanka, the Ukrainian Easter egg; listen to and watch HOPAK, the world’s most exciting ethnic dance. A stage show begins at 1:30, and features various musicians and dance ensembles. Following the stage show, a traditional Ukrainian dance and polka will take place at 4:30. This is an event the whole family will enjoy! Come out for a day Ukrainian culture, while enjoying traditional foods, a kid’s fun area, a crafts bazaar and more! Admission is $15 for adults, $10 for students, and children under 15 are free, with all proceeds benefitting youth soccer and cultural programming.
