| Marilyn speaks to the Executive Director, Global Philly – The 2nd GlobalPhilly™2015 (GP15) Exposition this Fall in Philadelphia – is an exciting program with 60 days of over 150 events/activities that raise the International profile of our region! Global Philadelphia Association (GPA) aims to raise awareness of global/multicultural activities that are presented by GPA members and showcase how Philadelphia is a world-class city of cultural, political and economic note. In 2015, GP15 will span 2 months from September 15 to November 15 and will show the world what a global region Philadelphia is through over 150 events covering Arts & Culture, Advocacy, Business, Cuisine, Education, Heritage and Sports, reaching the diverse neighborhoods of Philadelphia and its five counties. Among many others, the exposition will feature international signature events of the region such as the World Trade Center’s International Showcase, Ciao Philadelphia!, the Mexican Independence Festival, United Nations Day, the World Heritage City symposium, National Constitution Center’s 27th annual Liberty Medal Award Ceremony Honoring His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama of Tibet, and much more. In this edition, global players in the region have the possibility to collaborate through “Nation Days”, a great way to celebrate the culture of a specific country and learn from its business/education models – Germany, France, Panama, Sweden, and Mexico are already participating. |
