With every event in this week’s episode cancelled because of COVID-19, we focus on two recent movie interviews and Colon Cancer Awareness Month.
Hear an interview with the incredible Maria Grasso. She’s the Executive Director of Get Your Rear In Gear Philadelphia. She lost two loved ones to colon cancer, and decided to focus her grief into action, spreading awareness about colon cancer and raising funds for research.
She and her organization are a great resource for other families in the area affected by colon cancer, and we are lucky to have her here in Philadelphia.
March is Colon Cancer Awareness Month.
Learn more on the GYRIG Philadelphia Facebook Page or find information about their upcoming 5k Run/Walk (rescheduled for Sunday, July 19th).
Oh, and for goodness sake – get your colonoscopies! It’s easy, and it saves lives. Homer Simpson did. So did Will Smith.
Then, two still-current re-aired interviews. One with Gavin O’Conner who directed the film The Way Back starring Ben Affleck. Gavin had recently lost his voice, and was kind enough to still do the interview.
The other with Anya Taylor-Joy who stars in Emma, the latest Jane Austen adaptation. It’s SO good.
Be sure to check both films out if/when they return to theaters, or look for them when they are released.
