BUG FEST at the Academy of Natural Sciences and Dining Out for the Dogs at White Dog Cafe

Bug Fest is crawling into the Academy of Natural Sciences on August 11th and 12th from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m each day . The Academy of Natural Sciences’ bug expert, Karen Verderame, is an invertebrate specialist, a naturalist, a teacher, a bug lover, and Kristen’s favorite guest EVER. Listen as the two talk about all things BUGS - and give all of the details about the ANSP Bug Fest this year. Bug Fest will feature more than 100 species of live insects on display, as well as the Entomology Collection containing more than 3.5 million specimens. There will be bed bug sniffing dog demonstrations by Western Pest Services, edible bugs, cockroach races, nature walks, face painting, temporary tattoos, informative exhibits and experts, and more. Discount tickets are available at ansp.org. For a full list of activities, visit ansp.org.

Then, Jaimi Blackburn joins Kristen in studio to talk about White Dog Cafe's 2nd Annual 'Dining Out for the Dogs' event at all three of the White Dog Cafe locations. The event benefits a wonderful non-profit organization called Alpha Bravo Canine, who train and provide service animals to veterans at no cost. Hear all about the event and this incredible organization, and find out how you can help! Join Matt Cord and Kristen Herrmann (along with other radio personalities) on Monday, August 20th at all three White Dog Cafe locations to raise money for Alpha Bravo Canine. Details HERE.
