Marilyn talks to Rob Wasserman, Co-Founder of Burger Brawl (Comcast Business Presents). Rob shares all the details on the 6th Annual Burger Brawl this Sunday June 26th at Xfinity Live. Along with 30 of the best burger restaurants and/or food trucks in town competing to be the “best”, new this year is a Taco Takedown and a Cutthroat Cocktail Competition – all for a great cause – The Burger Brawl funds literacy programming through technology for Philadelphia’s under served children in our public elementary schools. Marilyn Russell is on board as judge.

Then, Kristen talks to Brian Bortnick, lead singer of the band Octane and Al Geary, owner of Shore Bets Entertainment – who organized a large event for a friend and former co-worker, Julie Powers. Join them for Julie’s Powers at 3pm this Sunday, June 26th at Xfinity Live (same day and location as Burger Brawl). With special appearances and performances from a number of local Philly bands including The Freakin’ Cads, Octane, Monkey Bus, JD Malone and the Experts, Laura Lea, the Sherwood Brothers and more – plus food, a Chinese Auction, 50/50 and live auction. Bring the kids too! There will be Star Wars character appearances, balloon animals, face painting and other surprises.
