She has all the details on the Philadelphia International Festival of the Arts from April 8th through April 23rd A 16-day celebration of art and community, PIFA showcases innovation and a breadth of local and international performances and installations, all curated by the Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts. With more than 60 events across genres and art forms, PIFA is bookended by Article 13 – a grand-scale fire and sand installation that tells the story of immigrants around the world – which serves as the grand opening of the Festival and culminates with the celebrated PIFA Street Fair. Philadelphia’s premiere party with a purpose – with funds raised at the ball supporting the operation of Red Cross House (see video below), The Center for Disaster Recovery.
