First, Marilyn Russell speaks with Chloe Johnston about Philly’s first ever Bastille Day Fireman’s Ball – Tuesday, July 12th at Local 22 Firefighter’s Union, 415 N. 5th Street in Philly. Modeled after the traditional Bastille Day festivities in Paris (where fire stations open their doors to the public for a day of merrymaking), this event brings the French Revolutionary spirit to Philadelphia – the birthplace of freedom and independence. Then, Kristen chats with Chuck Francisco about the 17th Annual BLOBFEST celebration – happening THIS WEEKEND, July 8-10th at the Colonial Theatre in Pheonixville. Chuck is a Blobfest Committee member, film curator and host at The Colonial Theatre.
