Meet Ange Schneider from Philadelphia/Delaware Valley StandDown for Homeless Veterans – celebrating her 5th year with StandDown! She started as a Volunteer with Chaplain services and knew immediately she wanted to do more for the cause – putting an end to homelessness for our veterans. Each year they choose they weekend after Labor Day to make a huge difference for men, woman and their families who’ve served our country, and thankfully get help from various agencies including Veteran’s Administration, Civilian Service Organizations, American Red Cross and more. Over the course of the 3-day weekend September 11th, 12th and 13th in Levittown, participants avail themselves to many services offered and in return are provided with food, clothing, shelter, spiritual and medical guidance along with access to legal assistance. “For Those Who Fought For It, Freedom Has a Flavor the Protected Will Never Know.” Can you help? Would you like more information? Tune in to Marilyn’s conversation with Ange and learn more at www.philastanddown.org.
