Then Marilyn talks beer… again! We’re noticing a theme here. Tis’ the season. This time with Brooke Pompe, King of Prussia District’s Marketing & Communications Manager. Join Marilyn and a 3,000 + sell-out crowd at the 5th Annual King of Prussia Beerfest Royale on Saturday October 8th with two incredible sessions (12-3:30 PM and 6-9:30 PM) , outdoor at King of Prussia Mall. Choose from over 100 craft and international beers, inspired dishes from King of Prussia’s most popular and newest restaurants, as well as live music on multiple stages. Produced by the King of Prussia District, all proceeds from Beerfest Royale are used by the organization for physical improvement projects throughout King of Prussia. Marilyn will be a judge for the first session – Saturday, noon to 3:30 p.m. Tickets are $50 per person, $60 at the door (if available). $15 Designated Driver tickets are available. October is a busy month for everyone, and Healthy Minds Philly is no exception. Dana Careless, the Director of Health Promotion at the Philadelphia Department of Behavioral Health and Intellectual Disability Services returns to the show to talk about some of the events going on in Philadelphia this month regarding mental health and gives Kristen an update on the Mental Health First Aid Training that the city offers FREE OF CHARGE to individuals and groups all over the city. The numbers are impressive and keep climbing! Join Healthy Minds Philly on Sunday morning, October for 2nd for the Out of the Darkness Walk, then again this Thursday, October 6th at Jefferson Station for National Depression Screening Day for a ‘check up from the neck up’.
