Berks County native Taylor Swift is about to get another honor from her Pennsylvania home. The Central Pennsylvania Music Hall of Fame (CPMHOF) announced that she'll be a new inductee next spring. An official ceremony date and location have not yet been announced.
Executive director and CPMHOF founder Brandon Valentine told WFMZ-TV 69 News that the organization is developing a full year of Taylor Swift-themed activities.
To celebrate Swift's upcoming induction, the Central Pennsylvania Youth Allstar Band has produced a cover of one of Taylor's biggest hits, "You Belong With Me."
"We've featured 13 young women on this track, all ages 8-18," Valentine told WFMZ. "So, Taylor Swift's favorite number is 13, so therefore, we have 13 vocalists on the track, and we filmed it outside of her childhood home in the Wyomissing area, as well as went to her junior and senior high school."
The song is available on all streaming services, and the music video is viewable on YouTube.
Valentine said the video is not only a celebration of Swift and her work but is also designed to catch her attention.
"We hope that Swifties love and share this music video and that Taylor herself sees it!" he told FOX43 News.
Swift is not the only artist to be inducted into the CPMHOF. Poison, Bret Michaels, Live, Fuel, The Badlees, and others make up the roster.
