Delco Gives Returns May 6-7 for Third Year of Fundraising

Get ready to give back, Delco. The third annual Delco Gives, a two-day community fundraiser in Delaware County, will take place on May 6 and May 7.

According to a DELCO.TODAY report, over the past two years, the event has raised nearly $4 million for hundreds of local nonprofits supporting animals, arts, veterans, immigrants, food, shelter, and education.

The May 6 kickoff event will feature Dining Under the Stars in Media, with performances from local choirs and arts groups, remarks from sponsors, and music by the Sprawlers.

On May 7, community tailgates will be held at multiple locations across the county, organized by the Foundation for Delaware County. These locations include the Delaware County Literacy Council, Team Toyota of Glen Mills, Villanova, Citadel (Brookhaven), and the Veterans Memorial in Newtown Square.

The closing celebration will run from 5 to 8 p.m. on May 7 at the WSFS Bank Sportsplex, home of the Philadelphia Union. Attendees can enjoy family-friendly activities, food trucks, live music, beer, and wine. The final fundraising total will be announced around 7:30 p.m. 

Additionally, a flag football tournament sponsored by Power Home Remodeling will be part of the closing events to benefit Delco Gives.
