The Mütter Museum will host its third annual Radiant Ball on Friday, April 24, from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. This after-hours museum event will feature live jazz, dancing, and access to the museum and its historical medical library.
The evening honors Marie Curie's 1921 visit to the College of Physicians of Philadelphia, highlighting her radium work and a device she presented for measuring radiation.
During the event, attendees will enjoy after-hours museum access, access to select theme-related items, a live performance by Drew Nugent & the Midnight Society, and light bites. Drinks, including themed cocktails, will be available for purchase at the event.
According to a PhillyVoice report, guests are encouraged to wear 1920s-style attire to reflect a period when scientists explored radiation, germs, and genetics in line with the event's historical theme.
General admission tickets are $65, while VIP tickets are $80 and grant entry to a private lounge with additional food.
The Mütter Museum is at 19 S. 22nd St. in Philadelphia, and visit the museum's website for additional information about the Radiant Ball.
