Philadelphia is about to experience wellness from an entirely new perspective — 400 feet above the city. This Saturday, April 18, Ether, a sunset floating meditation concert, returns to Level 28 at AKA University City, offering one of the most unique and immersive wellness experiences in the region.
Designed to welcome both skeptics and believers, Ether is a 44‑minute sound healing session that blends music, meditation, and atmosphere into a deeply calming experience. Guests are invited to float in inflatable pools or relax poolside inside the glass‑enclosed space, while the city skyline stretches out below and the sun sets in the distance.
The experience is guided by a custom soundtrack created by Luna Maye, delivered through spatial audio headphones to create an intimate, immersive journey. The soundscape weaves together crystal alchemy singing bowls, vocal looping, gong frequencies, and nature‑based recordings, all carefully timed to align with the changing light of sunset.
Rather than asking participants to “believe” in anything specific, Ether focuses on how sound and stillness can help release stress, encourage connection, and create space for reflection. The session is intentionally designed to help guests step out of daily routines and into a shared moment of calm, presence, and renewal.
The evening begins with a reception at 5:44 p.m., allowing guests time to settle in, take in the panoramic views, and prepare for the experience. The concert itself runs from 7:15 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., unfolding slowly and intentionally as daylight fades into night.
Tickets start at $85 per person for a poolside spot, and the event is open to the public with advance ticket purchase. Due to the intimate nature of the experience and limited capacity, early reservations are encouraged. Additional details and ticket information are available through the official event link.
For those looking to explore wellness in a fresh, thoughtfully designed way, Ether’s return promises an evening that feels both grounding and expansive — a quiet pause above the noise of the city below.
