Sample Wines, Enjoy Shopping During Newtown Wine Walk

The second annual Newtown Wine Walk will take place in Newtown, Pennsylvania, on Saturday, May 16, from noon to 4 p.m. Proceeds from the event, sponsored by Attleboro Wealth Management, will benefit the historic Newtown Theatre.

According to The Patch of Newtown, participants start at the Newtown Theatre, 120 N. State St. There, ticketholders will receive a “passport,” a goodie bag, and popcorn. The passport will list each stop on the walk and promotions from shops. Passports will also highlight restaurants in the borough, which participants are encouraged to visit during the walk. Along the way, ticket holders will enjoy sampling different wines at various Newtown shops.

The Newtown Wine Walk is modeled after the popular Newtown Holiday Cocktail Tour.

“Tickets for the Newtown Wine Walk make a great Mother's Day gift,” said Andrew Smith, executive director of the Newtown Theatre, in a news release shared with the Patch. “Last year's event sold out and was a huge hit.”

Tickets are limited and can be purchased on the Newtown Theatre website. Ticket holders must be 21 years or older to purchase tickets and participate in the Wine Walk.
