A classic Broadway musical is making its way back to the City of Brotherly Love this spring.
The Sound of Music will return to the Academy of Music in Philadelphia from March 31 to April 5. According to a PhillyVoice report, this production is part of a new North American tour return and celebrates 65 years since its Broadway debut.

Directed by three-time Tony winner Jack O'Brien, the show follows Maria, a governess who brings music to the von Trapp family in Austria as World War II looms. It features iconic songs such as “My Favorite Things,” “Do-Re-Mi,” “Edelweiss,” “Climb Ev'ry Mountain,” and the title track.
During the run for The Sound of Music at the Academy of Music, the production will offer accessible performances, including ASL interpretation, audio description, and captioning.
