Chester County

Chester County's broader region is praised for its balance of rural scenery and accessibility to communities like West Chester, Downingtown, and Coatesville, all with easy commutes to Philadelphia. According to a December 2025 report from the Pennsylvania House Democratic Policy Committee, “The average median home price in Chester County ranges between $530,000 and $560,000, while the median household income sits at approximately $120,000.”

The Main Line

The Main Line, including Ardmore, Bryn Mawr, Wayne, Paoli, and Berwyn, is known for cities with charming downtowns. Redfin noted a very competitive housing market on the Main Line, with a median sale price of around $650,000. “You've got strong school districts, walkable downtown pockets, and a straight shot into Center City by train — plus resale tends to stay solid because demand is always there,” said Mike Severns, founder of the Mike Severns team.
