The Philadelphia Mummers String Band Association is giving fans a can’t-miss encore with the 2026 String Band Spectacular, the official judged competition event for the String Band Division. The big show is set for Saturday, January 31, 2026, at 2:00pm at Lincoln Financial Field, with a rain date of Sunday, February 1, 2026. This special event was created after unpredictable and extreme weather on New Year’s Day damaged production props and made it unsafe to hold the competition as originally planned. While the String Bands still proudly marched and performed in the parade, the judged portion was postponed to keep performers and spectators safe.

According to PMSBA President Sam Regalbuto, the String Band Spectacular is designed to properly showcase the extraordinary work, musicianship and creativity of the bands in a safe, professional setting at the level of excellence that performers, supporters and the City of Philadelphia expect. He also highlights how meaningful the partnership is with the Philadelphia Eagles, as well as major Philadelphia sports organizations including the Phillies, Flyers, 76ers and Union, whose involvement underscores the citywide pride behind this event. Philadelphia Eagles Senior Vice President and COO Frank Gumienny notes that it is a privilege for Lincoln Financial Field to host an event that showcases the pride and passion of Philadelphia, giving the String Bands the stage they deserve.

Fans can already secure their seats. Tickets for the 2026 String Band Spectacular are on sale now through Ticketmaster or by visiting the PMSBA website at pmsba.org/spectacular, with entrance through the Xfinity Gate beginning at 1:00pm. Complimentary parking will be available for ticketholders in Lot K on a first-come, first-served basis, and additional paid parking will be open throughout the sports complex. The order of performances will remain the same as scheduled for New Year’s Day, featuring favorites like Duffy String Band (“Music Store Galore”), Quaker City String Band (“The Joker’s Funhouse”), Fralinger String Band (“Making Waves”), South Philadelphia String Band (“BeWISHED”), Aqua String Band (“Shamrock Shenanigans”), Woodland String Band (“A Taste Of Bourbon”), Polish American String Band (“Log Jammin’”), Ferko String Band (“Soul Station”), Jersey String Band (“Nifty Fifties Jukebox Jamboree”) and more.

Beyond the music, there will be plenty for fans to enjoy around the stadium. As part of the 125th Anniversary celebration, commemorative merchandise will be available in the Pepsi Plaza, along with a limited-edition program book highlighting each String Band and its performance. The Eagles Pro Shop will be open to all ticket holders, and concessions will be available on the lower level and in the Hyundai Club. Guests should remember that Lincoln Financial Field has a clear bag policy: one clear bag up to 12" x 6" x 12" or a small clutch up to 4.5" x 6.5", with a full list of prohibited items, including umbrellas, available on lincolnfinancialfield dot com.

In addition, the Philadelphia Mummers String Band Association will run a 50/50 drawing leading up to and during the event, with proceeds benefiting the production and presentation of the Spectacular. Tickets are $10 each or three for $20, and more information is posted online. From fans in the stands to sponsors behind the scenes, the PMSBA looks forward to welcoming everyone to Lincoln Financial Field for a landmark celebration of String Bands, pageantry and Philadelphia pride.
