Philadelphia’s spookiest circus is rolling into town, and this year, it’s going full-on horror flick. On Saturday, November 1, 2025, the Philadelphia School of Circus Arts (PSCA) presents Haunted Circus Weekend: Scary Movie Edition at Circus Campus in West Mount Airy. Prepare for aerial acrobatics, spooky stunts, and a circus-style salute to your favorite scary movies, all inside a lavish 100-year-old former church at 6452 Greene Street.
The 26,000-square-foot venue transforms into a haunted haven where circus meets cinema. Expect to see aerial tributes to horror heroines, juggling maniacs, and daredevil acrobats channeling cult classics and silver screen scream-fests. PSCA Executive Director Kitsie O’Neill says it best: “This year, we’re diving into one of our favorite Halloween traditions — scary movies — and reimagining them through circus.”
Families can join the fright-filled fun at the All-Ages Haunted Circus Show at 5:00 PM. This PG-rated performance brings lighthearted thrills with flying popcorn, dancing monsters, and playful nods to films like Hocus Pocus and It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown. Costumes are encouraged, and smiles are guaranteed with performances by PSCA’s youth troupe, students, and faculty.
Once the sun sets, the circus takes a darker turn. The Adult Haunted Circus Show (18+) begins at 8:30 PM, offering mature themes, humor, and a sultry spin on horror. Expect acts inspired by The Ring, Carrie, The Exorcist, and Jennifer’s Body — all performed with a daring mix of fire, aerial storytelling, and physical theater.
Tickets sell fast for this annual Halloween tradition. Family show tickets are $15–$20, while adult show tickets range from $20 in advance to $25 at the door.
