Philadelphia’s beloved Christmas Village returns in 2025, bigger and more enchanting than ever, from Thanksgiving Day through Christmas Eve at iconic LOVE Park, City Hall’s Courtyard, and the North Broad Section. This year’s centerpiece is a stunning new traditionelle deutsche Weihnachtspyramide, a 30-foot-tall authentic German Christmas Pyramid inspired by the wooden pyramids of Germany’s Ore Mountains. This dazzling structure, adorned with 3,000 twinkling lights and festive decorations, promises to be the most photographed holiday landmark in the city, perfectly framed by City Hall’s majestic backdrop.
Visitors can enjoy over 120 charming wooden vendor booths offering handcrafted treasures, holiday décor, toys, and international gifts, making it the perfect place to find that special gift while supporting local and international artisans. Foodies will be delighted by the mouthwatering lineup of European treats like charcoal-grilled Bratwurst, melted Swiss cheese sandwiches, sweet churros, and the market’s famous hot Glühwein (mulled wine) from Pennsylvania’s Mazza Wines. For beverage lovers, new craft cocktails at the Snowflake Cocktail Bar and spiked hot drinks by local Boardroom Spirits create a warm, festive vibe. Kids and families will enjoy returning favorites like the 65-foot Ferris wheel, historic double-tier carousel, and the Kids Train presented by SEPTA.
The festive atmosphere is enhanced by themed weekends such as the German American Weekend, live music, choirs, and a visit from the authentic Christkind. The Festival of Trees fundraiser at LOVE Park Welcome Center will showcase two dozen decorated trees, raising money for the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia alongside heartwarming appearances by Santa Claus.
Christmas Village is open Sunday through Thursday from noon to 8 PM and Fridays and Saturdays until 9 PM, with special hours on Thanksgiving and Christmas Eve. Admission is free; food, drinks, and shopping are pay-as-you-go.
This cherished tradition brings holiday cheer while boosting Philly’s local economy and small businesses, all wrapped in the glow of festive lights and seasonal magic. Don’t miss the chance to experience the newest holiday must-see and create lasting memories with loved ones this season at Christmas Village Philadelphia 2025.
