The Aronimink Golf Club in Newtown Square, Pennsylvania, is preparing to host the 2026 PGA Championship, now only seven months away. Thousands are expected for this history-making event in the Philadelphia suburbs, and the staff at Aronimink is seeking volunteer help.

Volunteering at Aronimink offers a behind-the-scenes experience at one of the country's top golf courses and supports the PGA of America's mission to expand the game of golf, said Jacob Wilson, volunteer operations manager for the PGA Championship, in comments shared with CBS News Philadelphia.

"We'll have just a little over 3,000. So we have 20-plus committees that help to service all of our needs," Wilson said. "We have a couple hundred left: PGA Shops, spectator refreshments committee, our ticketing credentials," he added, naming a few volunteer opportunities.

Interested individuals can sign up to volunteer for the 2026 PGA Championship at Aronimink Golf Club by visiting Aronimink's website.

"This is just another opportunity to showcase what Philadelphia can do for sports, and also this beautiful club of Aronimink," Wilson said to CBS News Philadelphia.

The 2026 PGA Championship is part of a robust sports calendar in Philadelphia for 2026 that includes the FIFA World Cup 2026 and the MLB All-Star Game.
