If you're looking to get lost in a corn maze this fall, an award-winning day-trip destination awaits in Lancaster County, just a short drive from the Philadelphia region.
Cherry Crest Adventure Farm, at 150 Cherry Hill Road in Ronks, Lancaster County, has been recognized as the second-best corn maze in the United States by USA TODAY readers in the 10 Best Readers' Choice awards.
This year's award isn't the first recognition the farm has received from USA TODAY. It earned second place in 2024, third place from 2021 to 2023, and first place in 2020 for its corn maze.
According to the farm's website, this year's maze, "Kick Up Your Boots and Get Lost," features a Western motif with a design inspired by images of cacti, cowboy boots, and hats.
Here's what USA TODAY had to say about Cherry Crest Adventure Farm:
"Located in Pennsylvania's Dutch Country, Cherry Crest Adventure Farm's corn maze covers 5 acres and includes 2.5 miles of paths. Guests spend an hour or more navigating the maze with the help of maze guides, clues, and a game board. For something even more challenging, try going through the maze with a flashlight after the sun goes down."
According to USA TODAY, the selection process for these awards involves an expert panel initially nominating candidates. This stage is followed by a public voting phase where readers choose their favorites from among the attractions nominated.
