2 Atlantic City Casino Restaurants Ranked Among Best in US

Two Atlantic City restaurants have been recognized among the best casino dining establishments in the United States, according to USA TODAY's 10 Best Readers' Choice awards. 

The Old Homestead Steak House at Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa was ranked No. 6 on the list, while Capriccio at Resorts Casino Hotel notched a No. 3 spot in the top five. 

Here's what USA TODAY had to say about the dining experience at the Old Homestead Steak House:

"Since 1868, Old Homestead has been perfecting the art of carnivorous excellence, and their Borgata outpost continues the legacy with Atlantic City swagger. Prime aged beef meets the boardwalk in portions that would intimidate lesser mortals. Serious conversations about the restaurant's trademarked hand-massaged Wagyu beef happen over colossal crab cakes, roasted onion soup laden with melted Gruyere, and deep wine lists."

Regarded as New York's oldest steak house establishment, the Old Homestead Steak House was created in 1868 in New York City's Meat Packing District. Focusing its menu on beef-based dishes, brothers Greg and Marc Sherry opened the second location of their steak house concept at Borgata in 2003.

Some of the specialties on the menu include an "empire cut of prime rib on the bone," an Australian baby rack of lamb, and a 44-ounce porterhouse steak.

Capriccio at Resorts Casino Hotel is an elegant Italian restaurant. "The offerings include both cold and warm antipasti, salads, veal and chicken parmigiana, and fresh pastas — all served alongside excellent views of Atlantic City," USA TODAY noted.

Capriccio has been a consistent winner of USA TODAY's 10Best Readers' Choice awards in the casino restaurant category. It was named the best Italian restaurant by Casino Player magazine in 2024 and 2025.

The Capriccio menu reflects the seasons and includes soup, salad, pasta, meat, and seafood specialties. For example, the Seafood Zuppetta is a sumptuous presentation of lobster, scallops, shrimp, and crabmeat simmered in olive oil, red onion, capers, and garlic, and served over linguini.
