Peddler’s Village to Host Scarecrow Festival

Explore dozens of scarecrows on exhibit and more fall family fun during the annual Scarecrow Festival at Peddler's Village on Saturday, Sept. 13, and Sunday, Sept. 14, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Admission and parking are free. All shops will stay open until 8 p.m. on Saturday.

The popular event will feature workshops where guests can make their own scarecrow, paint pumpkins, go pumpkin bowling, romp in hay piles, craft sand art, play lawn games, and discover Bootlegger Bo's Gem Mine and axe throwing with ThrowHouse.

On Saturday, Borderline will perform live at the gazebo from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. A scarecrow stilt walker will be strolling through the Village during those same hours. Station Hill Bluegrass will pick up with music at the gazebo from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. 

On Sunday, Martin & Kelly will exhibit their musical skills at the gazebo from noon to 4 p.m., and the Back Porch Jug Band will play in the courtyard from noon to 3 p.m.

The festival is held in connection with the 46th annual Scarecrows in the Village display, running from Sept. 8 through Oct. 26. Visitors to Peddler's Village are invited to see more than 150 scarecrows designed by families, artists, and organizations. The scarecrows will be stationed throughout the Village's pathways. Guests can vote for their favorites using the Peddler's Village mobile app.

Located in Lahaska, Bucks County, Peddler's Village is described as "a storybook village" that features colonial-style buildings and award-winning gardens. For more than six decades, visitors have ambled along the Village's brick pathways to find exceptional dining, shopping, and lodging at the Golden Plough Inn. Peddler's Village hosts numerous festivals and seasonal events, such as the Scarecrow Festival, throughout the year.
