New Hope Lights With First Friday Fireworks, Drone Show, Block Party and Birds Pep Rally

Philadelphia Eagles fans, get ready, because New Hope, Pennsylvania, is turning green this September! On Friday, September 5, 2025, the town will host the grand finale of its award-winning First Friday Summer Series with a spectacular fireworks and drone show, a block party, and an all-out Eagles pep rally in New Hope to celebrate the Birds’ season opener.

With more than 10,000 visitors expected, this will be the biggest celebration of the summer. Stockton Avenue will transform into a family-friendly block party from 5–9 PM, featuring Philly sports vendors, local artisans, face painting, music, and food and drink specials from nearly two dozen restaurants. Highlights include Philly cheesesteak pizza, Birds-themed cocktails, and plenty of green-lit décor across town.

At 9:10 PM, the Delaware River skies will erupt in a synchronized fireworks and drone show set to music via the Pyrocast app. The first 500 visitors will receive a complimentary glow-in-the-dark giveaway to wave proudly during the display.

This once-a-season finale is presented by Visit New Hope and the Greater New Hope Chamber of Commerce, with support from Union Chill and New Hope Celebrates. Visitors are encouraged to arrive early, shop local, and extend their stay in one of New Hope’s charming inns or B&Bs.
