Peddler's Village in Lahaska has released its fall and winter calendar of events, and there's plenty to do and experience before the year comes to a close.
'Scarecrows in the Village'
The festival season begins on Sept. 8 with the return of "Scarecrows in the Village." The free outdoor display will feature more than 100 scarecrows created by local businesses and residents. Each creation represents a themed category. The scarecrows will be on display throughout Peddler's Village from Sept. 8 through Oct. 26.
Visitors can vote for their favorites, with cash prizes going to the top entries. Registration to compete is open through Sept. 3.
The annual Scarecrow Festival will be held this year on Sept. 13, 14, 20, and 27, and will feature live music, a hands-on scarecrow-making workshop, and pumpkin painting. This event is a ticketed experience for the public.
OctoberFeast
On Oct. 11 and 12, Peddler's Village will host the popular OctoberFeast. This Oktoberfest-inspired celebration with German food and music will include imported German beer and will take place on the nearby Street Road Green. Grab your lederhosen and get ready to dance to polka music or sample items from the German-inspired menu available all month.
Halloween
Halloween festivities kick off a week before the holiday with a Deadly Silent Disco Party on Oct. 24. On Oct. 25, guests are invited to take part in the Slightly Batty Halloween Wing-Ding, a ticketed Halloween experience for kids featuring food, crafts, and a costume parade. On Oct. 26, kids can enjoy early trick-or-treating throughout the village.
Apple Festival
Relish in the autumnal bounty of apples during the Peddler's Village Apple Festival on Nov. 1 and 2. This long-running festival will feature cider from New Hope's Solebury Orchards and fresh apple treats, including apple fritters, doughnuts, pies, and more. Live music and a pie-eating contest will also take place.
Holiday Magic
Christmas celebrations begin with the Holiday Kickoff Weekend, Nov. 14-16, featuring visits from Santa Claus and other holiday entertainment. A Grand Illumination will take place on Nov. 14, as thousands of lights will illuminate the village for the season.
Inside the visitor center, guests can discover more than 100 gingerbread creations crafted by community members during the gingerbread competition. The exhibit runs from Nov. 14 through Jan. 18, 2026.
The Holly Jolly Weekend on Dec. 6 and 7 is anticipated to be the most popular event of the holiday season. Be prepared for large crowds of visitors on Dec. 6.
