New Jersey's Scott Riccardi continued his Jeopardy! winning streak, winning his 13th game on Monday, July 21.

Riccardi, a Somerville engineer and 2021 Rutgers graduate, began his winning streak on July 3 and now has increased his career earnings to $362,901.

On the Monday, July 21 show, he overcame his opponents: Anna Ciamporcero of Ridgefield, Connecticut, and Jeff Hague of Carmel, Indiana.

Riccardi commanded the lead over his opponents before Final Jeopardy, amassing a more than $31,000 lead over both other players.

The Final Jeopardy question was: "A 17th c. English translation of the Aeneid rhymes 'My soul remains' and 'perpetual pains' with this two-word place."

Only Riccardi had the correct Final Jeopardy answer: "What are Elysian Plains?"

As a result of his answer, Riccardi won with $50,400.

According to a NorthJersey.com report, Riccardi is the winningest contestant on the current season of the beloved game show.

The show's Tournament of Champions tracker notes that Riccardi's winning streak places him ahead of eight-time champ Laura Faddah on this season's leaderboard. The season began Sept. 9, 2024, and three other contestants have attained the six-game threshold.

Ricchardi has already qualified for the Season 41 Tournament of Champions, the annual competition for contestants who score at least five Jeopardy! wins
