Philadelphia is about to turn up the flavor and the fun on the Parkway this summer! The Philadelphia Museum of Art, together with Constellation Culinary Group, has just launched Summer on the Steps, a brand-new weekend food truck and beer garden experience that’s perfect for families, foodies, and anyone looking to chill out with great views and even better food.

Every Saturday and Sunday through September 28, from 2 to 6 p.m., the East Terrace of the iconic museum transforms into a lively outdoor retreat. Think: delicious food trucks, a seasonal pop-up bar, casual seating, yard games, and a true beer garden atmosphere—all in a welcoming, family-friendly setting.

Looking for a cool way to spend a summer day? Start by checking out the museum’s latest exhibitions, like Boom: Art and Design in the 1940s or Brand X Editions: Innovation in Screenprinting, then step outside to enjoy a fresh lineup of Philly’s best food trucks and creative cocktails.

Constellation Culinary Group, known for their high-style hospitality and commitment to local flavor, is behind this vibrant project. Inspired by the success of the Rodin Garden Bar, Summer on the Steps brings that same local energy to the Parkway, offering a dynamic, rotating cast of food trucks (including their own new Prepped truck, launching in August with Philly-inspired eats).

At the heart of it all is the pop-up bar, serving up sips like the seasonal Summer Crush cocktail—crafted from grapefruit, ginger beer, and rosemary, and a pomegranate Arnold Palmer, alongside a rotating menu of savory snacks made for sharing in the summer sun.

“From longtime locals to first-time tourists, we want guests to feel the spirit of the city and the joy of great cuisine in every visit – in one of the most iconic locations in Philadelphia,” says Emily Burster from Constellation Culinary Group.
