Philadelphia’s summer celebration is in full swing as the Wawa Welcome America festival brings back one of its most cherished traditions—Wawa Hoagie Day. Taking place on June 26, 2025, at Independence Mall, this year’s Hoagie Day is dedicated to honoring the everyday heroes who make a difference in the City of Brotherly Love.
Wawa Hoagie Day 2025 will begin at noon on Arch Street, between 5th and 6th Streets. Wawa associates and volunteers will serve more than 25,000 free hoagies to the public, making it one of the largest community food events in Philadelphia. The day is about more than just delicious eats; it’s a heartfelt tribute to the military, first responders, and local nonprofit leaders who serve and protect the city every day.
Attendees can expect a festive atmosphere with live entertainment, appearances by local officials, and patriotic ceremonies that highlight Philadelphia’s unique history as America’s birthplace. Special recognition will be given to members of the military, police, firefighters, and community champions, reinforcing the city’s deep appreciation for those who go above and beyond.
Wawa Hoagie Day is just one highlight of the Wawa Welcome America festival, which runs for 16 days and features a packed schedule of free, family-friendly events. From concerts and fireworks to museum days and cultural celebrations, the festival offers something for everyone.
