Eagles wide receiver A.J. Brown surprised everyone when he proposed to Kelsey Riley on May 3, 2025. The special moment happened at Philadelphia's Four Seasons in the Comcast Center, where John Legend played music during the proposal.

A.J. Brown shared his big moment at the fancy downtown spot on social media. His Eagles teammates were there to support him - Darius Slay, Isaiah Rodgers, DeVonta Smith, and Nakobe Dean all watched him propose.

Riley, who graduated from Texas Southern University and is a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc., has a child with the NFL star. This engagement comes as other Eagles players recently put a ring on it, too - Lane Johnson got engaged to Kelsey Holmer in April and DeVonta Smith got engaged to Mya Danielle in January.

The engagement adds to a year of celebrations for the Eagles, most notably their victory in Super Bowl LIX, and quarterback Jalen Hurts got married to Bryonna Burrows.

During the Eagles’ 2025 wild-card game, A.J. Brown was seen reading Inner Excellence by Jim Murphy on the sidelines-a ritual he uses to clear his mind and refocus after every play. He says it helps him stay calm, humble, and mentally sharp, treating the game as much a mental challenge as a physical one. This glimpse into his mindset went viral and boosted the book to No. 1 on Amazon, highlighting Brown’s unique approach to mental toughness and leadership.

Clearly, A.J. Brown does not do anything without thinking it through with attention to every detail.
