In an unexpected show of humility, or maybe not as we get to know him, NFL star Jalen Hurts lives in a basic Cherry Hill apartment. The Philadelphia Eagles quarterback, who signed a massive $255 million contract, chose a simple $2,000 monthly rental just minutes from the team's practice facility.

"I didn't buy a house or anything like that when I got drafted because it was just me. I didn't need this big place just for myself. I just got me a little apartment," said Hurts to GQ Sports in 2021. "I didn’t need this big place just for myself. I just got me a little apartment. You know, something smooth that’ll last me for the time being.”

His huge contract ranks among the NFL's biggest says espn.com, with $179.304 million guaranteed. The Eagles topped off the five-year deal by including their first-ever no-trade clause.

While keeping it simple during the season, Jalen Hurts spent big on two Houston properties for his off-season time. His main house is 6,000 square feet and cost $6 million. He bought the property next door for $2.68 million.

After joining as a second-round pick in 2020, the young quarterback took over in 2021 when Carson Wentz left for Indianapolis.

The contract spaces out his pay carefully: $6.15 million for 2023, going up to $13.56 million in 2024, then $21.77 million, before reaching $31.77 million in 2026.

After his big Super Bowl win and MVP award, Jalen Hurts will need to add a trophy case to his place in Houston.
