Super Bowl Ticket Prices Skyrocket: Cheapest Seats Aren’t Cheap
Super Bowl ticket prices tend to be intense. Here’s what we’re up against.
The upcoming Eagles-Chiefs Super Bowl clash at New Orleans’ Caesars Superdome has broken price records. At the time of publication, fans will need to pay at least $4,221 on Vivid Seats to catch the February 9, 2025 game.
Looking across major ticket vendors reveals huge price differences. StubHub’s cheapest seats go for $4,365. SeatGeek lists basic tickets at $5,165, while Ticketmaster starts them at $5,000 even.
This trend isn’t surprising. Prices have climbed steadily since 1996. The 2021 game reached a staggering average of $8,609 per ticket – jumping from $7,172 the previous year.
Looking for premium seats? Better bring your wallet. StubHub’s best seats run $19,299. Other premium options range from $16,051 on SeatGeek to an incredible $18,525 through Ticketmaster. Vivid Seats lands in the middle at $17,376.
Thankfully, parking is still reasonable. StubHub has spots available for $15, with SeatGeek asking $18. Vivid Seats runs a bit steeper at $52 per spot.
These prices make 2022 look like a bargain, when Section 513 tickets cost $1,733. That same year, NFL’s Ticketmaster charged $3,100 for basic seats in Section 532 at SoFi Stadium.
For those planning travel, sites like Expedia, CheapTickets and Priceline offer flights to Louisiana. Need somewhere to stay? Hotels.com, Expedia and Choice Hotels have rooms throughout New Orleans.
As the NFL’s biggest spectacle evolves into a massive entertainment showcase with lucrative ad deals, ticket prices continue their upward march.
