For me, if I'm having lunch or dinner at a steak house or somewhere that doesn't specialize in vegetarian options, it's always a choice that just makes sense. But, even if you aren't a vegetarian, macaroni and cheese can be a great lunch or dinner dish. Really, who doesn't love macaroni and cheese? It brings to mind lots of great childhood memories. Now, one Pennsylvania mac and cheese spot is among the best in America.

LoveFood.com has released their list of the best macaroni and cheese in America. They highlight one top spot in each state. "Cheesy, creamy, and all-round scrumptious, mac 'n' cheese is the ultimate comfort food," they state in the article. Boy, is that true. They add that, "it can be a decadent side or a meal in its own right, loaded with truffle, lobster tail, or barbecued meats.

In Pennsylvania, for the best mac and cheese, they picked The Dandelion in Philadelphia. "An English-style pub in Philadelphia, The Dandelion’s Macaroni & Cheese incorporates braised ham hock and Cheddar," they write. "It’s certainly not a light version of the dish, and is served in a skillet with a heavy blanket of cheese." They also add that those who have tried is say "it's one of the best ever and to die for." Also, last year, the outlet Eat This, Not That! put together a study to determine the best mac and cheese in America. "Everyone loves a good plate of macaroni and cheese, but finding the perfect balance between pasta and cheese sauce can prove challenging," they said. They did their list based on Yelp reviews.
