Robert De Niro revealed that, at age 79, he is now a father of seven children.
The iconic actor shared this news with ET Canada in a new interview to promote his upcoming movie About My Father. Interviewer Brittnee Blair said to De Niro at one point, “I know you have six kids,” and the actor said, “Seven, actually. I just had a baby.”
The mother of De Niro’s seventh child is currently unknown. De Niro separated from his second wife, actress Grace Hightower, in 2018.
The actor has two children with his first wife, actress Diahnne Abbott. They welcomed a son, Raphael, in 1976. De Niro would later adopt Abbott’s daughter from a prior relationship, Drena, who was born in 1971. From 1988-1996, De Niro was seeing model Toukie Smith. They welcomed twin sons, Julian and Aaron, in 1995. The couple never married. De Niro then married Hightower in 1997. They welcomed a son, Elliot, in 1998 and a daughter, Helen Grace, in 2011.
In addition to his seven children, De Niro is also a grandfather of four. Per People, daughter Drena welcomed son, Leandro in 2003. Meanwhile, De Niro’s son, Raphael, has three children with his ex-wife Claudin De Matos.
