Philly Actor Up For 2023 Easterseals Disability Film Challenge Best Actor Award
The 2023 Easterseals Disability Film Challenge Awards will be announced tomorrow (Thursday) night, and Philly’s own Shannon DeVido is up for Best Actor.
If you’ve seen AMC’s Lucky Hank, starring Bob Odenkirk, then you’ve likely also seen Philly local actor Shannon DeVido. She plays Emma Wheemer on the show. You may know her from a number of other shows too. She recently produced and starred in a short called A Stupid Man that was entered in the the Easterseals Disability Film Challenge this year. She’s been nominated for Best Actor for her performance in it, and we can watch to see if she wins tomorrow night!
A Stupid Man is a rom-com short produced by King Friday Productions (a production duo consisting of DeVido and writer/performer Aubrie Willams) and starring DeVido (Lucky Hank, Difficult People, Best Summer Ever) and Matthew DeCapua (Blue Bloods, Pew, Pew, Pew).
You can virtually watch the Awards Show for the 10th Anniversary of the Easterseals Disability Film Challenge LIVE from Sony Pictures on Thursday, May 4th at 7 pm PT (10PM ET – our time).
