Looking for love in all the wrong places? Try Pennsylvania. According to a recent study, two Pennsylvania cities are among the best in the country for singles. They also named the No. 1 city in Pennsylvania to date and find that special someone.

WalletHub recently published a study that compared 182 U.S. cites in three key dimensions to find best and worst cities for singles. Those dimensions include economics; fun & recreation; and dating opportunities. Then, each dimension was evaluated on relevant metrics, such as the average price for two people to have a meal out, social clubs per capita, share of single population and more. "We evaluated those dimensions using 36 relevant metrics, which are listed below with their corresponding weights. Each metric was graded on a 100-point scale, with a score of 100 representing the most favorable conditions for singles," WalletHub adds.

WalletHub also notes that, "Nearly 50% of the U.S. adult population is unmarried (never married, divorced or widowed), according to the latest U.S. Census Bureau estimates. The share may be higher or lower in an individual city, though, and the ratio of women to men also will differ in each. Some singles may boost their chances of meeting others through online dating, which got a boost in popularity during the COVID-19 pandemic."

The study found that the top five best cities in which to be single and mingle are Seattle, Washington at No. 1; Madison, Wisconsin at No. 2; Denver, Colorado at No. 3; San Francisco, California at No. 2; and Portland, Oregon at No. 5.

The top city to find love in Pennsylvania, and overall the 18th best city to meet that special someone in America, is Pittsburgh. Philadelphia also had a good showing, being named the No. 2 city for finding love in Pennsylvania and No. 89 overall. Find the full study of the best cities to find love in America here.
