This is Pennsylvania’s Best All-You-Can-Eat Deal
When I was a kid, all-you-can-eat buffets were all the rage. My family went all the time, and I really just wanted to load up on the desserts, because it was always so fun to at all the different desserts and make ice cream sundaes. Those were the days.
Pennsylvania still has some great all-you-can-eat deals. The crew at TheDailyMeal.com has put together a list of the best options in each state, and they picked a great one for us.
TheDailyMeal.com writes, “There’s something about an all-you-can-eat deal or buffet that makes us feel like royalty. With grumbling bellies, we plan our strategy, survey our domain and commence the feast. You’re guaranteed to leave full, satisfied and maybe a little ashamed of your stomach capacity. But some all-you-can eat deals are better than others, and these are the very best.” They add that as for methodology, they “tracked down a bevy of beloved all-you-can-eat deals from every state, then judged them according to food selection, décor, ratings on review sites and level of local renown. We also made sure that even when these deals are on the pricier side, they are worth the price.”
So, what’s tops in our state? Shady Maple Smorgasbord in East Earl. Not too far away! TheDailyMeal.com writes, “The longest buffet in Pennsylvania’s Lancaster County (clocking in at 200 feet), Shady Maple in East Earl boasts a massive selection of expertly prepared Pennsylvania Dutch cuisine. A breakfast buffet hits all the right notes — make sure to try the scrapple — but the buffet really comes alive at lunch and dinner, when 46 salad bar items, eight homemade breads, five soups, six cheeses, eight meats, 14 vegetables, eight pies, six cakes and the sundae bar are just the beginning.” Find the full list here.
