Jalen Hurts' story is nothing short of a masterpiece. Hurts has proven himself time and time again on the field this season, and the quarterback for the Eagles is now a favorite to snag MVP.

On Sunday (Dec. 11), Hurts became the first quarterback in NFL history to have back-to-back seasons with at least 10 rushing touchdowns. He's one of the strongest quarterbacks in the NFL today, and this after some critics didn't even think he had what it would take to lead the Eagles to victory.

Hurts is my favorite quarterback for 2022, but it's not because of what he does on the field. I admire Hurts because of his mindset and attitude. He often talks about adversity and how he has used it to motivate him going forward. He also talks about learning from both his mistakes and successes.

After Sunday's game, Hurts was asked about the naysayers in a press conference. “I carry my scars with me everywhere I go,” he said. “I don’t forget.”

He added that he doesn't spend time and energy thinking about those who doubted his abilities throughout his career.

“Do I waste my energy worrying about the pain of someone else?” he said. “No. I truly invest my focus in me getting better as a player, getting better as a quarterback and doing the things that I need to do for my team... Everyone and their opinion doesn’t deposit at the bank. I just try to stay true to myself, stay true to my teammates and just chase that growth alongside them.”
