Robert Plant has, once again, sounded off on not having the desire to perform with Led Zeppelin.

Plant took part in an interview with Alison Krauss for the Los Angeles Times where both singers were asked how they take care of their voices. Plant responded with, “I don’t. I just go out and sing.” He then recalled a solo gig he did just before the coronavirus pandemic where he sang the Zeppelin classic “Immigrant Song” and was surprised he could still hit some of those intense notes.

When told “plenty of fans” would love to hear him hit those notes with Led Zeppelin again, Plant replied, “Going back to the font to get some kind of massive applause — it doesn’t really satisfy my need to be stimulated.”

He continued, “I know there are people from my generation who don’t want to stay home and so they go out and play. If they’re enjoying it and doing what they need to do to pass the days, then that’s their business, really.”

Plant is currently on tour with Krauss in support of their 2021 album Raise the Roof. A full list of upcoming tour dates can be found at RobertPlant.com.
