Sensory Friendly Night at Adventure Aquarium
Think sensory friendly events are FIN-tastic? You’re in luck!
On August 20th, Adventure Aquarium is hosting a F.I.S.H. night. Obviously, the aquarium has plenty of fish. In this case though, F.I.S.H. stands for: Family Inclusive Sensory Hours. The event is geared toward visitors to the aquarium with autism and sensory sensitivities. All of the fun of the aquarium, with less of the sensory overload that an attraction like this can induce.
Adventure Aquarium partnered with Shriner’s Children’s Philadelphia for this event. Join them Saturday, August 20th from 5:30-8pm. Their mutual goal is to create an inclusive, entertaining and educational experience for all guests, including those with autism and other sensory sensitivities.
During F.I.S.H. Night, the Aquarium will lower the music, brighten the lights, and reduce the crowds. They want to create the most enjoyable experience for guests and families with autism and other sensory needs.
Finally a night of fun and fish, with a bit less splash. Sure, school is about to begin again. First, check out a school of fish instead. Sensory friendly! The perfect opportunity to swim on over to Adventure Aquarium.
If you’re looking for a fun indoor activity for the end of August, this is it. Right before school begins too. Families and individuals with sensory needs can book their reservations for F.I.S.H. Night HERE. More details can be found HERE.
